According to the People's Daily, according to the data monitoring and survey of the ticket information collection platform of the China Performance Industry Association: In the first half of this year, there were 251,700 commercial performances (excluding entertainment venues) nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 30.19%; box office revenue was 19.016 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.24%, and the number of spectators was 79.1013 million, a year-on-year increase of 27.10%.
China's large-scale performance market showed a sustained growth trend in the first half of the year, with box office revenue of concerts and music festivals increasing by 134.73% year-on-year; the number of spectators increased by 63.35% year-on-year. Among them, large-scale concerts with more than 5,000 people contributed the most to market growth. In addition, in the first half of this year, the number of performances in professional theaters, small theaters and new spaces increased by 32.21% year-on-year. The number of performances of large and medium-sized tourism performances nationwide increased by 26.37% year-on-year.
Relevant person in charge of the China Performance Industry Association said that the national performance market was more active in the first half of this year than in the same period last year, and performance products played a positive role in stimulating consumption, linking industries and promoting economic growth.
