Pakistan to implement visa-free policy for Chinese citizens
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced on Thursday (August 1st) local time that Pakistan will implement a visa-free policy for Chinese citizens from August 14, 2024.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz met with a visiting Chinese high-level delegation on August 1. Shahbaz announced at the meeting that a visa-free policy will be implemented for Chinese citizens from August 14.
During the dialogue with the Chinese high-level delegation, Shahbaz said that the cooperation between Pakistan and China in the fields of mining, minerals, information technology, exports and industry, as well as the transfer of industry from China, will further strengthen Pakistan's economic development.
Shahbaz also said that Pakistan has taken strict measures to deal with security issues and take firm legal action against criminals to ensure the personal safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
