Beijing to launch international public transportation card
China's capital Beijing plans to launch the BEIJING PASS, an international public transportation card, which will allow foreigners to use the card to ride the subway in Beijing in the future.
According to CCTV News on Wednesday (July 31, 2024), the number of foreign tourists in Beijing's major scenic spots has increased significantly during the summer vacation. To facilitate the travel of foreign passengers, Beijing plans to launch the BEIJING PASS, an international card.
Currently, Beijing subway stations are undergoing on-site testing. It is expected that BEIJING PASS will be sold to foreigners in subway stations at major railway stations and airports in the future, making it convenient for them to use the card to swipe the gate to ride in Beijing's rail transit.
