Chinese military to conduct live-fire drills on Myanmar border
The Chinese military will conduct a two-day live-fire exercise on the China-Myanmar border starting from Tuesday (August 27, 2024).
The Yunnan Provincial Government issued an announcement on its official website on August 26, 2024. According to the annual training plan, a certain unit of the People's Liberation Army of China is scheduled to organize a live-fire exercise on the Chinese side of the China-Myanmar border from August 27 to 29 this year, calling on vehicles and personnel entering the area to obey traffic control.
The exercise area includes Huyu Township, Ruili City, Wanding Town, Ruili City, Mengdui Township, Zhenkang County, and Mengding Town, Gengma Dai and Wa Autonomous County.
