Ancient tombs from the Warring States Period discovered in Luohe, Henan
On December 3, 2024, the cultural relics department of Henan Province, China confirmed that an ancient tomb group from the Warring States Period to the Eastern Han Dynasty was discovered in Luohe City, Henan Province. At present, more than 200 ancient tombs have been excavated in the ancient tomb group, and more than 1,000 cultural relics have been unearthed. Among them, the bronze sword of the Warring States Period unearthed from the M90 ancient tomb is still sharp after more than 2,000 years.
It is understood that the ancient tomb group was accidentally discovered during railway construction in September this year, and was jointly excavated by the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research Institute and the Luohe City Cultural Relics and Archaeology Department.
