A 61-year-old man in Beijing was detained for insulting others on the subway

At around 18:00 on April 17, 2025, on a train from Hepingli Beijie Station to Zhangzizhong Road Station on Beijing Subway Line 5, Zhao (male, 61 years old) had a dispute with two passengers sitting next to him over a seat issue. During the dispute, he repeatedly insulted the other party, disrupting the order of the ride, and was later persuaded to leave by other passengers. At present, the Beijing police have imposed administrative detention on Zhao in accordance with the law.
