According to the official measurement of the China Earthquake Networks Center: At 5:11 am on May 12, 2025, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in Lazi County, Shigatse City, Tibet, China (28.91 degrees north latitude, 87.54 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
