Chinese home furnishing brand "Liangjiaju" announced to cease operations
According to reports from China Business News and The Paper, starting from Friday (July 18, 2025), many consumers of "Liangjiaju" received a notice that the company had stopped operating.
A reporter from China Business News arrived at the headquarters of "Liangjiaju" in Guangzhou on Saturday, when there were already many consumers and suppliers downstairs. The reporter found that the door of the company was closed on the floor where "Liangjiaju" was located.
"Liangjiaju" was founded in 2001 and is a well-known decoration company in South China, with nearly 100 directly-operated stores. According to Observer.com, the overall market of the home furnishing and home decoration industry has declined in recent years, and many companies have fallen into difficulties due to the capital chain situation, and "Liangjiaju" has not been spared.
Observer.com also quoted sources as saying that Zeng Yuzhou, the founder of "Liangjiaju", fell to his death in Guangzhou in the early morning of July 17, 2025.
According to a notice from the Tianhe District Branch of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau, the police's preliminary investigation pointed out that Zeng Yuzhou's death was related to his personal reasons and ruled out the possibility of a criminal case. Zeng Yuzhou, 53 years old this year, is the founder and chairman of "Liangjiaju", a member of the 10th Committee of the Guangzhou CPPCC, a standing member of the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, and has served as vice president of the Guangzhou Building Decoration Industry Association and other social positions.
