Taiwan's population has declined for 19 consecutive months

According to data provided by the Household Registration Department of Taiwan's Ministry of the Interior, Taiwan's population as of July 2025 totaled over 23.33 million, consisting of approximately 11.48 million males and 11.85 million females.

It is understood that Taiwan's total population has declined monthly since reaching 23.42 million in December 2023.
