A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Taiwan Strait
According to official measurements by the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the Taiwan Strait (24.46 degrees north latitude, 119.24 degrees east longitude) at 6:56 a.m. on September 20, 2025, at a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The tremor was felt in Quanzhou, Xiamen, and Fuzhou.
