The Gansu Provincial Department of Natural Resources announced on October 16, 2025, that a large gold deposit has been discovered in the Qianhongquan-Heishan Beitan area of Yumen City, Gansu Province, China, with an additional gold resource of over 40 tons.

The Qianhongquan gold deposit was discovered through large-scale geochemical exploration, based on basic geological surveys. This discovery is of great significance for the search for gold deposits associated with ductile shear zones in the southern Beishan belt of Gansu Province. In particular, it provides valuable practical experience for gold exploration in similar areas, particularly in terms of exploration method selection, prospecting strategies, and prospecting direction.
