According to Hong Kong media reports, around 9 a.m. today (December 18, 2025), Hong Kong police received a report from an employee of a currency exchange shop. The employee stated that he and his colleagues were robbed by four knife-wielding men opposite the New Century Plaza in Sheung Wan. It was reported that approximately 10 billion yen in cash was stolen, and the robbers fled in a seven-seater vehicle after the heist.

Upon receiving the report, police officers arrived at the scene to investigate. Subsequently, a man dragging a suitcase was arrested outside the exit of Sheung Wan MTR Station, with his suitcase containing a large amount of yen.
