According to the official measurement by the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), a magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred in Yuli County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China (40.88°N, 84.17°E) at 12:12 on February 23, 2026. The tremor had a focal depth of 15 kilometers.
