Cleaning Robot Begins Household Service in Shenzhen
SHENZHEN (Guangming Net) — China’s first domestically developed household cleaning robot has officially commenced service in Shenzhen. Ms. Chen Guo, a resident of Bao’an District, was among the initial users to experience the service.
At 11:00 a.m., the doorbell rang. Upon opening the door, she found the human housekeeper accompanied by a “new colleague”—a cleaning robot. Once inside, the robot swiftly began its tasks: it precisely identified and neatly arranged scattered shoes, organized desktop items, collected toys from the floor for storage, and carefully stacked books left on the sofa before placing them into the bookshelf. Switching operational modes, it then wiped surfaces and cleaned the cat’s litter box seamlessly. In the bedroom, the robot and the human housekeeper formed a “golden duo,” each holding a corner of the quilt to fold it neatly. Concluding the service, the robot meticulously inspected the trash can, fitted a fresh liner, and carried the sealed bag to the doorway.
Throughout the approximately three-hour session, human and machine effectively complemented each other’s strengths. The human housekeeper focused on client communication and intricate tasks such as disinfection and dust mite removal, while the robot efficiently handled standardized routines—including wiping, organizing, sweeping, and litter maintenance. This collaborative model preserves the professionalism and human warmth of manual service while significantly enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs.
