Inaugural International Day of Taijiquan Celebrated with Thematic Performance at Mutianyu Great Wall
On March 21, 2026, a thematic performance event commemorating the International Day of Taijiquan was held at the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall in Huairou District, Beijing. Over 200 Taijiquan enthusiasts gathered to exchange skills, foster friendship through practice, and celebrate the first observance of this globally designated day.
In November 2025, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated March 21 as the annual "International Day of Taijiquan," recognizing the profound cultural heritage and global significance of this traditional Chinese martial art.
