At approximately 3:35 PM on April 4, 2026, a fixed-wing trike aircraft crashed near Liangshan Road in Xiakou Town, Nan'an District, Chongqing. The incident resulted in injuries to a male pilot and a female child passenger, both of whom have been transported to a hospital for treatment.

The aircraft experienced a sudden malfunction shortly after taking off near the Guangyang Island Equestrian Center. According to eyewitnesses, after flying for a few hundred meters, the aircraft emitted a loud noise, performed a 360-degree rotation in the air, and then crashed from a height of approximately 50 to 60 meters. The aircraft landed upside down, kicking up a large amount of dust and smoke.

Guangyang Island has been temporarily closed to tourists, and low-altitude flight operations have been suspended indefinitely. The time for reopening has yet to be determined.
