On April 14, 2026, the China Association of Circular Economy released the "China Renewable Resources Recycling Industry Development Report (2026)". According to the report, China's renewable resources recycling industry maintained a stable growth trend in 2025. The total recycling volume of 11 major categories reached 417 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, while the total recycling value reached 1.39 trillion yuan, up 3.8% year-on-year.

Among these, scrap steel remained the most recycled material, accounting for over 60% of the total volume. Driven by the home appliance trade-in program and the continuous improvement of the renewable resources recycling mechanism, the recycling volumes of waste batteries (excluding lead-acid batteries), waste tires, and end-of-life vehicles saw significant increases.
