"China's Biological Species List 2024 Edition" released

On May 22, 2024, the Biodiversity Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences today released the "2024 Edition of the List of Biological Species in China", which users around the world can freely download and use. The 2024 version of the list includes a total of 155,364 species and infraspecific units, including 141,484 species and 13,880 infraspecific units.
