Tornado disaster occurred in Dongming County, Shandong

A tornado occurred in Dongming County, Heze City, Shandong Province, China, killing one person and injuring 79 people.

According to the Dongming County Emergency Management Bureau of Shandong Province, at around 14:30 on July 5, 2024, due to the influence of strong convective weather, tornado extreme weather occurred in Chengguan Street, Caiyuan Town, and Shawo Town of Dongming County.

The report stated that the disaster caused one death and 79 people were injured to varying degrees. The injured people have been sent to the hospital for treatment, and other specific disaster situations are being further verified. Emergency rescue, post-disaster disposal, and on-site cleanup are in progress.
