The highest temperature in Shanghai exceeded 40℃

At 14:43 on July 7, 2024, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau officially announced that data from the National Meteorological Station showed that the temperature in Xujiahui, Shanghai, once reached 39.6℃ today, challenging the 40℃ mark! The temperature at many automatic weather stations has exceeded 40℃.

According to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, based on meteorological data from 1873 to 2023, there were only a handful of days with temperatures exceeding 39.6°C. The difference in the past two years was also quite obvious. There were no days in 2023; 2022 had the most days in history, with 13 days.
