China Post launches smart unmanned delivery vehicles in many locations across the country
According to China Post, the company has already launched unmanned vehicles in Beijing, Nanjing, Jiaxing, Bijie and other cities. Since May this year, Beijing Post has tried to use unmanned delivery vehicles for mail transfer in Shunyi District, mainly responsible for mail transportation between business departments and post stations and delivery points in the grid area, with a round-trip distance of about 30 kilometers, a single load volume of up to 5 cubic meters, and a maximum of more than 500 parcels.
The postal unmanned vehicle adopts advanced unmanned driving technology, relying on multiple sensors such as high-precision maps, radars and cameras to realize the intelligent operation of the entire process of transportation and transit. In addition, its long cruising range and large load capacity advantages enable unmanned vehicles to be competent for a wider range of delivery tasks.
