China to conduct military exercises in parts of Guangxi Beibu Gulf
The Maritime Safety Administration of Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued a notice that military exercises will be conducted in parts of the Pearl Bay waters in the Beibu Gulf.
Guangxi Fangchenggang Maritime Safety Administration issued a notice that from 0:00 on August 18, 2024 to 18:00 on September 18, 2024, floating fences will be deployed in the waters connecting 21-31.97N 108-11.30E and 21-31.17N 108-12.60E, and 21-31.00N 108-12.79E and 21-30.86N 108-12.95E, and military exercises will be conducted in the Pearl Bay waters from the fence to the coastline.
The notice stated that during the exercise, unrelated ships or fishermen are prohibited from crossing the fence or destroying military facilities.
