Xinjiang Bayinbuluke Airport opens to flights
At 10:40 am on August 20, 2024, with the safe landing of flight G11101 at Bayinbuluke Airport in Hejing County, Bayingol Prefecture, Xinjiang, it marked the official opening of Xinjiang Bayinbuluke Airport.
Bayinbuluke Airport is located southwest of Bayinbuluke Town, Hejing County, Bayingol Prefecture, about 13.5 kilometers away from the town center, covering an area of 174.7 hectares. The airport has an elevation of 2506.85 meters and a flight area grade of 4C. It is the second high-altitude airport in Xinjiang. After opening, it can meet the annual passenger throughput of 250,000 and the cargo and mail throughput of 500 tons. At present, the airport has opened routes from Bayinbuluke to Korla within and outside Xinjiang, and will successively open routes to major hub airports such as Shanghai and Beijing.
