Hainan Airlines flight returns after bird strike
Due to a bird strike, a China Hainan Airlines flight from Rome to Shenzhen immediately returned and landed safely.
Hainan Airlines announced on social media on Sunday evening (November 10, 2024) that Hainan Airlines flight HU438 from Rome to Shenzhen encountered a bird strike on the right engine during takeoff. To ensure safety, the crew quickly decided to return according to procedures.
At present, the flight has landed safely at Rome Fiumicino Airport at 11:06 a.m. local time on Sunday. All passengers have disembarked in an orderly manner. The company will properly provide follow-up protection for passengers.
