The world's largest unmanned cargo aircraft rolls off the assembly line in Changzhou, China
According to the official announcement of Air White Whale, the unmanned cargo aircraft W5000 was successfully assembled and rolled off the production line at the production base in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China on October 18, 2024. The aircraft has a maximum take-off weight of 10.8 tons, a maximum payload capacity of 5 tons, and a range of 2,600 kilometers. It is currently the world's largest unmanned cargo aircraft.
At present, the airworthiness application of the aircraft has been accepted by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the first aircraft is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2026.
