Shanghai issues first batch of driverless license plates

On November 14, 2024, the Traffic Police Detachment of the Pudong Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau issued the first batch of unmanned driving equipment identification signs, marking the gradual integration of unmanned driving technology into daily life.

The design of the new license plate is a combination of light blue and white. The license plate begins with the abbreviation of the region, followed by a combination of letters and numbers, and the top is clearly marked with "unmanned equipment".
