A knife attack occurred at a university in Jiangsu

According to a report from the Yixing Municipal Public Security Bureau of Jiangsu Province on Saturday (November 16, 2024), at around 18:30 that day, a knife-wounding case occurred at Yixing Wuxi Institute of Technology, resulting in 8 deaths and 17 injuries. The suspect was arrested on the spot.

According to preliminary investigation, the 21-year-old male suspect surnamed Xu (a graduate of the college in 2024) returned to school to vent his anger because he failed the exam and did not get his diploma and was dissatisfied with his internship pay. The criminal surnamed Xu confessed to the crime. Currently, the treatment of the injured, post-disaster disposal, and case investigation are in full swing.
