Beijing simplifies procedures for visa-free entry for foreign natural persons to register companies

According to a report by Xinhua News Agency in Beijing on March 3, 2025, as the scope of China's visa-free policy continues to expand, the willingness and demand of foreign natural persons to invest in China continues to grow. In order to effectively promote the facilitation of foreign investment and optimize the business environment, the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has timely adjusted the registration policy and simplified the verification process of identity documents for visa-free entry personnel.

A relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau said that now, natural persons from visa-free countries only need to hold a valid passport and quickly complete identity verification through the Beijing Enterprise Service "e-Window" WeChat applet or on-site verification of the original passport.

It is understood that the policy of visa-free entry personnel applying for business licenses has reduced the notarization procedure and shortened the landing time of foreign-funded enterprises from the previous 2 to 3 months to the fastest 1 day.
