26,000 kindergartens expected to close in China this year

According to Caijing magazine, several economic experts estimate that about 26,000 kindergartens may be closed in 2025, and by 2030, an average of 15,000 kindergartens will be closed each year.

According to the report, some scholars warned that if the sharp decline in the number of births is not effectively improved, the "closing wave" of kindergartens may only be the beginning, and elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools and even universities may also experience a "closing wave" in the future.
