In recent years, archaeologists at the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, have discovered more than 100 fingerprints on the unearthed pottery figurines with the help of scientific and technological means. These fingerprints allow us to travel through time and space, as if we saw the craftsmen who made these pottery figurines more than 2,000 years ago touching these pottery figurines.

According to reports, the staff extracted more than 100 fingerprints from more than 40 pottery figurines that have been restored. The research results show that most of the fingerprints are from adult males. The discovery of these fingerprints provides more archaeological materials for further research on the organizational model of handicrafts in the Qin Dynasty, the composition of the labor force, and even the social structure.
