According to The Paper, Hu Shiying, son of the late Hu Qiaomu, a member of the Chinese Communist Party's Political Bureau, died in Beijing last Saturday (August 9, 2025) at the age of 81.

According to public information, Hu Shiying was born in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province in 1944. He graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (now Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications) in 1966 with a degree in radio physics. He served as Executive Chairman of the International Green Industry Cooperation Organization, President of China Rich Selenium Magazine, and concurrently as President of the China National Conditions Research Institute and the Green China Construction Engineering Research Institute.
