On the afternoon of October 30, 2025, with the takeoff of flight MU6308, operated by the C919 large passenger aircraft, from the fifth runway of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Terminal 3 of Baiyun Airport officially commenced operation, marking the official opening of the fifth runway.

Starting today, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China United Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and Okay Airways will be the first airlines to move into Terminal 3 of Baiyun Airport.
