Guangzhou Customs Seizes 5,084 Grams of Methamphetamine ("Ice")
Recently, during the monitoring of an express transit shipment at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Customs (subordinate to Guangzhou Customs), officers identified anomalies in the X-ray scan image of a package. The shipment was immediately intercepted for further inspection, revealing a batch of identical model lamps inside.
Upon dismantling the lamp casings, on-site officers discovered white crystals wrapped in multiple plastic bags concealed within the fixtures. An on-the-spot rapid reagent test returned a positive result for methamphetamine. Subsequent analysis by a technical institution confirmed that the crystals contained methylamphetamine, with a total weight of 5,084 grams.
Methylamphetamine, commonly known as "ice," is a potent central nervous system stimulant with highly addictive properties.
