Two Work Safety Incidents Occurred on China's Railways on the Same Day

In the early hours of November 27, 2025, test train 55537, which is used to detect seismic equipment, was passing normally through a curved section within Luoyangzhen Station in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, when it collided with construction workers who had entered the track area. The incident resulted in 11 fatalities and 2 injuries. Following the accident, railway authorities immediately activated emergency protocols and collaborated with local government agencies to carry out medical treatment and emergency rescue operations. Train service at the station has now returned to normal, medical care for the injured and related follow-up work are proceeding in an orderly manner, and a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
