Fire at Baisong Building in Linfen, Shanxi, Claims 3 Lives

According to Xinhua News Agency, around 20:00 on December 10, 2025, a fire broke out in the Baisong Building in Yaodu District, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. It was extinguished by the fire department by approximately 02:00 on December 11. The incident resulted in three fatalities in an internet café located on the second floor of the building.

It is understood that the Baisong Building, where the fire occurred, is situated at the intersection of Jiefang Road and Gulou North Street in Yaodu District. It is a comprehensive building housing multiple commercial functions, with the second floor occupied by an internet café named "Tenglong Esports." Preliminary investigations indicate that combustible materials had accumulated at the entrance area on the first floor of the building. Once the fire started, it spread to and ignited the Tenglong Esports shop on the second floor. Currently, follow-up investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
