Six Firefighters Killed in Hunan Vehicle Plunge

According to Xinhua News Agency, on February 19, 2026, a fire engine from the Xinhua County Fire and Rescue Section in Loudi City, Hunan Province, tragically plunged off a cliff after completing a firefighting mission in the local Luguan Town around 4:00 p.m. The accident resulted in the deaths of six firefighters in the line of duty, with one other injured. Investigations into the cause of the incident, as well as medical treatment for the injured and other follow-up matters, are currently underway.
