Chinese Embassy in Israel Opens Evacuation Registration for Holders of Hong Kong/Macao Passports and Taiwan Travel Permits
JERUSALEM, Mar. 1 (Embassy Notice) — According to the Chinese Embassy in Israel, Israel continues to face sustained missile and drone attacks, with the security situation remaining severe and potential for further deterioration. The Embassy advises all Chinese citizens in Israel (including compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) to, while ensuring personal safety, promptly relocate independently to secure areas within Israel—specifically, locations distant from city centers of Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem; military facilities, sensitive institutions, and major transportation hubs (including airports, seaports, docks, railway stations, and light rail stations); and critical infrastructure such as government buildings, power plants, refineries, and communication centers—or evacuate to Egypt via the Taba Border Crossing for safety.
Registration for evacuation assistance will open on March 1, 2026. Chinese citizens (including compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) who are unable to arrange their own departure but wish to evacuate to Egypt are requested to register. Eligible registrants must hold valid Chinese travel documents, including Chinese passports, Hong Kong SAR passports, Macao SAR passports, or Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan Residents.
