Explosion at Residential Building in Huludao, Liaoning Province
On the morning of June 29, 2026, an explosion occurred at a residential building in Huludao City, Liaoning Province, causing severe structural damage and leaving multiple people missing.
Incident Details
The blast took place at approximately 7:11 a.m. at Unit 3 of a residential building in Xingbei Community, Jiulong Street, Nanpiao District, Huludao City. The explosion is believed to have been caused by a suspected liquefied gas leak that triggered a flash explosion.
Casualties
According to the official statement from the Huludao Fire and Rescue Bureau, the accident has resulted in 3 people missing, who are currently being searched for and contacted. Additionally, 8 people sustained minor injuries and have been sent to the hospital for treatment.
Emergency Response
Upon receiving the alarm, the fire rescue command center immediately dispatched 95 firefighters and 14 fire trucks to the scene for emergency response and rescue operations. Search and rescue efforts for the missing persons are currently ongoing.
