Brown giant panda discovered again in Qinling Mountains, Shaanxi

The reporter learned from China's Shaanxi Provincial Forestry Bureau that staff of Shaanxi Changqing National Nature Reserve recently discovered that an infrared camera deployed in the wild captured an adult brown giant panda at close range on January 17 this year. The shooting location is located in The Baiyangping area of the reserve is about 1,500 meters above sea level. This is the 11th time that traces of wild brown giant pandas have been found in the Qinling area.

The brown giant panda is a special member of the Qinling giant panda family. It is reported that, including this discovery, the scientifically recorded discovery locations of brown giant pandas in the world are in Foping County, Yang County, Taibai County and Zhouzhi County in Shaanxi Province, all belonging to the Qinling Mountains area of Shaanxi Province.
