Two men in Hunan were detained for selling counterfeit tickets to Jay Chou's concert
On the eve of the well-known singer Jay Chou's concert in Changsha, Hunan, the local police reported that two men had been detained for "pre-selling" and forging tickets to Jay Chou's concert. More than 700,000 yuan in stolen money has been recovered.
According to The Paper, the Changsha Municipal Public Security Bureau reported on Saturday (May 25, 2024) that it recently received a call from the public saying that as early as January this year, someone claimed to be able to buy tickets for Jay Chou's concert, but after giving the money to him, I haven't gotten a ticket until now. Changsha police successfully arrested the suspect surnamed Zou on May 22 and seized 250 fake tickets for Jay Chou's concert on site.
After investigation, starting from January this year, Zou claimed that he had channels to purchase tickets for Jay Chou's Changsha concert, and through WeChat Moments and other online channels, he falsely claimed to provide "pre-sale services." According to preliminary statistics, fans have pre-purchased more than 600 "tickets" from him.
Since the ticket issuance period was approaching, Zou had no tickets delivered, so he contacted a man named Qing to make fake tickets, intending to deliver them to the ticket buyers. So far, a total of 250 tickets have been produced. When the two were arrested, the batch of counterfeit notes had not entered the market. Currently, the case is under further investigation.
