China lifts ban on Australian beef traders
China has lifted a ban on five major Australian beef producers.
According to reports, Australian Agriculture Minister Murray Watt said that the Australian government was informed on Wednesday night (May 29, 2024) that trade restrictions would be relaxed. China lifted restrictions on three other local beef traders in December last year.
Watt said on Monday: "This is excellent news for Australia's cattle farmers, meat processing industries, workers in these industries, and Australian exports."
