China's men's football world ranking drops to 91st
After losing two games in a row in the round of 18 of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, the Chinese men's football team dropped to 91st place in FIFA's ranking, the lowest in the world in the past eight years.
According to the FIFA website, in the men's football world rankings updated by FIFA on Thursday (September 19, 2024), the Chinese men's football team ranked 91st, down four places from the previous period (July 18), ranking behind Uganda and just slightly above Syria.
According to Chinese media reports, this is the lowest ranking of the Chinese men's football team in the past eight years since it was ranked 96th in the world rankings announced on March 3, 2016.
