The United States has not yet officially congratulated China on its National Day
The United States has broken with convention and has not yet sent an official message to congratulate China on its National Day.
Tuesday (October 1, 2024) is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Traditionally, the U.S. State Department congratulates China before the National Day, just as it does with all other countries with which it has diplomatic relations. The United States issued statements on September 29 last year and September 30, 2022, respectively, to congratulate China on its National Day.
The U.S. State Department did not mention this issue at its daily press conference on Tuesday, but mainly responded to the issue of Iran's missile attack on Israel.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un both sent congratulatory messages to Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday, congratulating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
