According to The Paper, the Xilinhot City Public Security Bureau in Inner Mongolia, China, issued a notice on Saturday (September 20, 2025) stating that starting September 5, 2025, blood samples from male residents within its jurisdiction will be collected and entered into the local DNA database. The notice stated that this will improve citizen identity information and be directly linked to the processing of personal ID cards, passports, and other documents.
