J-6

The J-6 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) made its public debut at the 2025 Changchun Air Show. According to a display board, the J-6 is a modified J-6 aircraft, with the cannon weapon system, auxiliary fuel tanks, and ejection seat removed. Instead, it features an automatic flight control system and autopilot, wing pylons, and a terrain-matching navigation system. The modified J-6, which made its maiden flight in 1995, can be used as both an attack aircraft and a training target drone, providing training and target practice for fighter pilots and operators of anti-aircraft artillery, surface-to-air missiles, and radar.
