China Coast Guard Expels Japanese Fishing Boat from Diaoyu Islands Waters

According to Liu Dejun, spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, the Japanese fishing boat "Zuihou Maru" illegally entered the territorial waters of the Diaoyu Islands on Tuesday (December 2, 2025). China Coast Guard vessels lawfully implemented necessary control measures against it and issued warnings to expel it.

Liu Dejun emphasized that the Diaoyu Islands and their affiliated islets are China's inherent territory, and China urges Japan to immediately cease all infringing and provocative activities in the area. The China Coast Guard will continue to carry out rights protection and law enforcement activities in the waters around the Diaoyu Islands, resolutely safeguarding national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
