According to China Central Television (CCTV), on December 23, 2025, the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway, the final section of the Beijing-Lanzhou corridor in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, officially commenced full-line operations. The inaugural train departed from Baotou in Inner Mongolia and is scheduled to arrive in Yinchuan, Ningxia, at 12:45 p.m.

The Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway starts in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, passes through Bayannur, Ordos, Wuhai, and Shizuishan in Ningxia, and terminates at Yinchuan Station. The line spans a total length of 517 kilometers with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Along the route, it features 10 stations, including Baotou Station and West Baiyanhua Station.
