China Projects 12.7 Million College Graduates in 2026

China’s official projection indicates that the number of college graduates in 2026 is expected to reach 12.7 million, marking an increase of 480,000 compared to last year’s figure. Wang Xiaoping, Minister of Human Resources and Social Security of China, announced the data at a press conference on people’s livelihood held during the ongoing session of the National People’s Congress (NPC) on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
