CCTV News reported today, citing information from China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), that hull construction of China’s second domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, has been largely completed. The vessel is scheduled to undock in mid-March and transition into the dockside mooring and commissioning phase.

Undocking—referring to the ship’s departure from the dry dock and berthing at the quay—marks the completion of primary hull construction. The vessel will subsequently undergo comprehensive commissioning and testing of all installed onboard equipment and systems, finalizing preparations for sea trials.

According to available information, Adora Flora City is themed around Lingnan culture and boasts a gross tonnage of 141,900 tons. Compared to China’s first domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, the new vessel integrates more advanced technologies and artificial intelligence applications, introduces a wider variety of stateroom configurations, and features enhanced immersive and entertainment-focused amenities to elevate passenger experience.
