A Chinese tugboat of over 4,000 tons sank in the East China Sea
The Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration announced last Friday (May 24, 2024) that a Chinese tugboat of more than 4,000 tons sank in the East China Sea.
According to the China Maritime Safety Administration website, the Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration notified last Friday that the tugboat "United Qirui" sank in the East China Sea near 30 degrees 44.65' north latitude and 122 degrees 31.59' east longitude, close to the sea northeast of Zhoushan, Zhejiang, and warned all parties. Ships avoid.
At present, the China Maritime Safety Administration has not disclosed the reason for the sinking of the "United Qirui" in the East China Sea.
According to public information, the "Union Qirui" is 82.1 meters long and 20 meters wide. It is an anchor-based tugboat with a weight of more than 4,000 tons and is responsible for tugging, salvage and other tasks. "United Qirui" is a ship owned by Fujian United Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. and has completed engineering operations in multiple sea areas.
